WiRan offers EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing as well as RFI (radio frequency interference) services in Gdynia, Poland. WiRan is the operator of the ELAB in PPNT in Gdynia, Poland. Our measurement laboratories enable us to carry out accurate and comprehensive measurements of high and low frequency electronics. Our lab infrastructure consists of one of the biggest Faraday cages in the area, a climatic chamber, just to name a few. EMC STANDARDS OVERVIEW
WiRan Poland performs EMC tests according to international standards stipulated by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). Here is a list of some of the EMC tests that we are carrying out for our international clients:
IEC 61000-4-2 => Electrostatic Discharge Immunity Test
This IEC´s immunity standard on ESD (electrostatic discharge) has the intention to establish a common reference, rather than dictating product specific tests. WiRan Poland carries out tests in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-2 standard.
IEC 61000-4-4 => Electrical Fast Transient / Burst Immunity Test
This IEC´s immunity standard sets a common reference for evaluating the immunity of electrical devices, when these are being subjected to electrical fast transient/bursts on supply, signal, control and earth ports. WiRan Poland carries out tests in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-4 immunity standard.
IEC 61000-4-5 => Surge Immunity Test
Power lines can be hit by power surges from power switches or lightning strikes. This IEC standard for surge immunity defines test procedures and setup requirements as well as classification levels. WiRan Polska conducts tests in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-5 standard for surge resistance.
IEC 61000-4-8 => Power Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity Test
Our WiRan team of experienced RF engineers can support you with EMC troubleshooting. Here at our on-site laboratories, we can provide you with an in-depth analysis of your project, consult you and work with you through potential problems, as well as support you in proceeding to the next revision/version of your product. How does the process look like in terms of time-line (duration) and solution delivery (EMC reports)? First, we inquire about the devices functionalities and about the wired and wireless interfaces, in order to determine the applicable EU directives related to EMC testing. Secondly, a list of tests is created and consulted with our client. We arrange the tests and measurements here at our EMC laboratories in Gdynia, Poland. If the device does not pass the required tests, we investigate the problem further and provide EMC troubleshooting. Eventually, a comprehensive EMC report with results and suggestions is prepared and sent to our client for review.

RENT OUT OUR LAB SPACE

Our lab infrastructure and measurement equipment allows you to run accurate and comprehensive measurement tests in the field of high frequency and low frequency electronics. The modern, high-end measuring equipment allows for the observation and archiving of signals, and the advanced lab infrastructure at WiRan Gdynia – consisting of a Faraday cage and climatic chamber – enables the creation of a specific measurement environment. Climatic chamber – temperature range from -40 to 180 degrees C, humidity range RH from 10 to 98%, temperature changes (6 degrees / min). Tests are performed in accordance with PN-EN 60068-2-1, 60068-2-2, 60068-2-14, 60068-2-30 and PN-EN 60068-2-78 as well as NO-06-A103 and NO-06-A107. Our experienced RF engineers and lab staff at WiRan will guarantee reliability and credibility of the measurements. EMC PRECERTIFICATIONS IN GDYNIA
WiRan Gdynia performs EMC tests according to common industry standards stipulated by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). Here is a list of some of the EMC testing that our engineers are conducting for our clients:
IEC 61000-4-3 => RF Electromagnetic Field Immunity Test.
It is a commercial EMC standard that describes test procedures that manufacturers must comply with before selling products. Electronic devices must be designed and tested to ensure that they are immune to intentional transmitters (i.e. mobile phones, smart watches) as well as unintentional devices emitting radio waves (i.e. electric motors and electric welding equipment). WiRan conducts tests in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-3 standard.
IEC 61000-4-6 => Immunity to Conducted Disturbances, Induced by Radio Frequency Fields
This ICE´s standard defines test procedures for the conducted immunity testing of electronic equipment and electronic devices to electromagnetic disturbances coming from intended RF transmitters in the 9 kHz to 80MHz frequency range. WiRan Poland carries out tests in accordance with the IEC 61000-4-6 standard on Immunity to ConductedDisturbances. Induced by Radio Frequency Fields.
PN-EN 55022 => Conducted and radiated emission tests
Tests of electronic devices are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. Tests of the effective use of the radio spectrum in accordance with the provisions of the RED Directive 2014/53/EU can be performed by renting ELAB space. Tests are also carried out in relation to the NO-06-A500 and MIL-STD-461G standards for immunity to conducted disturbances and conducted radio disturbance emissions in the range of 150 kHz – 30 MHz and radiated emissions in the range of 100 MHz to 12 GHz and immunity to electromagnetic waves in the range of 1 GHz to 6 GHz.
